Sketches – Spinebrush

Not too much to say on this one. I was on vacation and went to a horticultural garden and saw a few interesting leaf plants, and I decided to play around a little with it. I was kind of aiming for a cross between a pine brush and a tumbleweed kind of shrubbery.

I don’t really know why, but I was thinking it was a more aggressive kind of plant; the leaf edges would cut bare and exposed flesh, but I didn’t really work out a good niche in the ecosystem for it. Still, might get used somewhere eventually.
